This is to everybody waking up in paradise. This especially goes out to everyone who’s lost someone dear to their heart. We’ve all been following the story about Trayvon and we can all feel the disappointment and fury that comes along with this unfortunate event. There’s something so magical about the Piano Guys’ cover of Coldplay’s Paradise  plus it’s shot so beautifully. Justice will be served one way or another. RIP Trayvon Martin. God be with his loved ones and family most especially.

Real-life Grave of the Fireflies: (Photo) Stoic Japanese orphan, standing at attention having brought his dead younger brother to a cremation pyre, Nagasaki, by Joe O’Donnell 1945
This photograph was taken by an American photojournalist, Joe O’Donnell, in Nagasaki in 1945.
He recently spoke to a Japanese interviewer about this picture:
“I saw a boy about ten years old walking by. He was carrying a baby on his back. In those days in Japan, we often saw children playing with their little brothers or sisters on their backs, but this boy was clearly different. I could see that he had come to this place for a serious reason. He was wearing no shoes. His face was hard. The little head was tipped back as if the baby were fast asleep.
“The boy stood there for five or ten minutes. The men in white masks walked over to him and quietly began to take off the rope that was holding the baby. That is when I saw that the baby was already dead. The men held the body by the hands and feet and placed it on the fire.
“The boy stood there straight without moving, watching the flames. He was biting his lower lip so hard that it shone with blood. The flame burned low like the sun going down. The boy turned around and walked silently away.”

Jen Starks highly intricate geometric works are always formed in vibrant colors, as these shades seem to have seeped into the treatment of each piece from her bright Miami, Florida, USA home. The hypnotic hand-cut paper sculptural works, kaleidoscopic videos and saturated murals incorporate echoing patterns and mathematical concepts which create an infinite-like quality to her artwork.

soulflowerflight:

I don’t really do much direct posting about God or my faith.

But God is REAL.

He DID rise from the dead on the 3rd day.

YOU (and I) have access to His UNfailing, UNyielding, UNwavering, perfectly consistent, nurturing, ALL powerful, boundary-LESS, love.

I say: YES, God. I want that Love.

He says: If you love me, keep my commandments. (which, if you think about it honestly, are for YOUR OWN GOOD anyway) and all you have to do is seek me and all that you need will be added to you. Just keep your focus on me & my kingdom, and I will give you whatever it is that you need. Delight yourself in the Lord (find happiness in God) and he WILL give you the desires of your heart. Dont believe me? Read it here: John 1:1, John 1:14, Matt 6:33, Matt 7:7, John 14:15, Psalm 37:4. If the Word IS God..then what it says is true. Put God to the test then. Do your part and just test him and SEE if he lives up to it. He cannot lie..that’s a human trait. i bet my life on the fact that he’ll live up to his promises.
